PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Primary to Secondary, Vocational Education Project (PSVEP) under SZAs Child Support Programs and is implemented all over Uganda
At SZA, we believe that Child basic and quality Education is a basic human right, a top priority, means a lot towards hisher Future and a way out of poverty for the Children both in Uganda and globally, a top priority, means a lot towards hisher Future and a way out of poverty for the Children, But many still do not have the opportunity to learn, especially if they live in poverty
PSVEP aims at helping children thrive through access to quality education all through primary to secondary education
PSVEP is inline with existing national strategies to promotethe welfare of slum children, orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda
The project is operational in the schools partnered with SZA around Uganda
A total of 170 children are directly supported in this project
The beneficiaries have been enrolled in primary, secondary schools, tertiary learning institutions and have further been monitored both at home and school occasionally to ensure they are attending school on a regular basis
The Performance and conduct of the students is monitored in liaison with the contact teachers and the guardians of the students
The performance of P-S-V-E-P
• Increased awareness about sponsorship administration activities ie parents, teachers and the children can differentiate between child verification and child updates and also know the objectives of these exercises
• Ability to keep track of active children in the program and identify any incorrect personal information that required correction • Children are motivated to stay in school
• 170 sponsored children provided with school fees and uniforms
• Establishment of 20 safe space groups and enrollment of 100 sponsored girls in these groups
• Results to child school drop outs will reduce
And 552 children participated in the annual award
